In the Pure Choleric, choleric action organizes the form alone, with no other capacity entering its makeup. The sequence tends to be simple: obstacle, mobilization, impact, result. The image is lightning, a vector that goes straight to the point and discharges without mediation.

Pure, here, does not mean more choleric than the others, nor cut off from people. The Pure Choleric can work on a team, study standards, lead, and enjoy recognition. What defines them is that none of this is a condition of their accomplishment: effectiveness in the face of the arduous is enough, and it has value even without a witness. They mobilize a team when they need to and follow a rigorous criterion when that avoids waste, but cooperation and finish are occasional instruments, not the essence of what counts as victory. Frequent leadership and high energy are not enough to recognize them either, because these can come from one’s role, training, or health.

The good proper to the Pure Choleric is direct agency, able to protect, repair, and persevere, and an objective courage before what others avoid. The temptation proper to them is to take effectiveness, or the capacity to face things, as a title to exception, and through that door pride enters. Their immaturity tends to show as rashness, because they err less from an excess of reflection than from speed without the pause of prudence, and the deepest wound remains practical powerlessness.

The mature form of the Pure Choleric is the formula of the genus itself in its cleanest form: act when you can, endure when you must. They learn that not everything that matters can be won by their own power, admit a true limit, and keep acting where it is theirs to act; and their strength, without losing its speed, no longer needs to defend the worth of the self with every result.
