Who made the test
Igor Carneiro
Author of The Book of Temperaments and the Axis Ratio Method, which he has been developing since 2020. He arrived at the twelve species by observing real people and comparing those of the same temperament with one another.
Then, invite the people you live with.
Husband, wife, parents, children aged 14 and over, friends. Seeing the two species side by side explains a lot of what looked like stubbornness.
Frequently asked questions
Is the temperament test free?
Yes. You only need to create an account with an email and password. Optional materials from the author may appear below the result.
How long does it take?
On average, about 20 minutes. The test ends when your answers already support a hypothesis, so the number of statements varies from person to person. Questions come in blocks, and within each block you can go back and correct the previous answer.
What are the four temperaments?
Choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic, and melancholic. In the Axis Ratio Method they are genera, and each genus divides into three species, one pure and two mixed, for a total of twelve. The book explains each one.
Is the result a diagnosis?
No. This experience uses the Axis Ratio Method for an educational and interpretive reading of temperamental dispositions and does not provide a clinical diagnosis. The test presents a hypothesis about your temperament, is still under development, has no scientific validation for psychological or clinical assessment and does not replace professional support.
How is the result calculated?
By fixed rules, without artificial intelligence: the same answers give the same result.
Can I retake the test?
Each account is entitled to one result. If you want to retake it, request it from your account and explain why; the author approves or declines. A test that was interrupted, expired, or ended without a result doesn't count: you just start again.
What if the result doesn't fit me?
You can say so at the end of the test and ask for a review by a person at contato@olivrodostemperamentos.com.
Who can take the test?
People aged 14 or older. Those between 14 and 17 should take it with their parents' or guardians' knowledge.
